Pathology Lab
Pathology Lab
As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.
Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results
At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.
- NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
- Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
- Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
- Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
- Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
- External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
- Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.
Lysozyme Muramidase
A lysozyme (muramidase) test measures the levels of lysozyme enzyme in the blood to evaluate conditions such as infections and inflammations. Lysozyme is a natural enzyme found in various body tissues, including tears, mucus, and saliva, which helps to protect the body against bacterial infections by breaking down the cell walls of certain bacteria.
BRAF Mutation by PCR
The test uses the real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method to detect specific mutations in the BRAF gene, commonly associated with various cancers, including melanoma and colorectal cancer.
Apolipoprotein A1
The test measures the concentration of ApoA1 in the blood, providing insights into lipid metabolism and cardiovascular risk. Lower levels may indicate an increased risk of atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular conditions. This test is often used alongside other lipid panels to assess overall cardiovascular health.
MRD Panel for Multiple Myeloma
The test looks for the presence of minimal residual disease (MRD) in patients who have been treated for multiple myeloma.
Apolipoprotein B
The test measures the concentration of ApoB in the blood, a key protein in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and other atherogenic particles. High levels of ApoB are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, including heart attack and stroke.
1P19Q by FISH
The 1p/19q Deletion by FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridisation) is a genetic test that helps detect chromosomal abnormalities involving deletions on chromosomes 1p and 19q.
ALK Fusion - FISH
It is a genetic test that helps identify chromosomal rearrangements involving the ALK gene, which are associated with certain cancers, notably non-small cell lung cancer.
24 Hr Urine Aldosterone
The test measures the concentration of aldosterone, a hormone that helps regulate blood pressure and electrolyte balance, in urine collected over a 24-hour period. Elevated levels of aldosterone may indicate conditions such as hyperaldosteronism or adrenal gland disorders, while low levels could suggest adrenal insufficiency.
NSE - Neuron Specific Enolase
This test measures neuron-specific enolase (NSE) levels, which serve as a biomarker for neuroendocrine tumors and certain neurological conditions.
