Pathology Lab
Pathology Lab
As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.
Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results
At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.
- NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
- Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
- Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
- Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
- Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
- External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
- Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.
Diphtheria IgG
This test is recommended to check your IgG antibody levels against Diphtheria. Most people receive DPT vaccine in our childhood and develop protection against Diphtheria. If your levels are very low, you maybe at risk of suffering from the disease. Many educational institutes require Diphtheria antibody levels as part of your immunity check.
Prealbumin
This test is used to assess prealbumin levels in the blood stream.
C1q Complement
The Complement 1 Q Test is used to assess and monitor immune diseases like SLE and Vasculitis.
HDV RNA by PCR
This test is used to determine exposure to Hepatitis D Virus by Reverse Transciptinase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR)
HAV PCR
This test is used to determine exposure to Hepatitis A Virus by Reverse Transciptinase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR)
HGV PCR
This test is used to determine exposure to Hepatitis G Virus by Reverse Transciptinase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR)
Focus Fusion Panel - 52 Gene
It is a comprehensive genetic test designed to identify gene fusions associated with various cancers. By analysing 52 specific genes, the panel helps in evaluating cancer types, understanding the molecular mechanisms driving the disease, and guiding personalised treatment strategies.
PML/RARA Gene Detection by PCR
The test uses the real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method to identify the presence of the PML/RARA fusion gene, which is commonly associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
Multiple Myeloma Markers (Cytogenetics) FISH
The test uses fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to detect genetic abnormalities associated with multiple myeloma. This test helps identify chromosomal abnormalities and specific gene mutations, aiding in evaluation and treatment planning for patients with multiple myeloma.
