Pathology Lab
Pathology Lab
As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.
Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results
At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.
- NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
- Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
- Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
- Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
- Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
- External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
- Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.
Stem Cell Count (CD34 Enumeration)
The test measures the number of CD34-positive cells, which are early progenitor cells with the potential to develop into various types of blood cells. It is vital for evaluating the stem cell reserve before procedures like bone marrow transplantation and for assessing the effectiveness of treatments that stimulate stem cell production.
Flu Panel (Influenza A & B , H3N2, H1N1) By PCR
The test uses the real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method to detect various strains of influenza (flu) viruses, including influenza A and B, as well as distinct subtypes like H3N2 and H1N1 (swine flu). It also includes the Rnase P gene to ensure the quality and accuracy of the test results.
MMR - Immunohistochemistry
The test evaluates the expression of mismatch repair (MMR) proteins in tumor tissues. This assessment helps identify defects in the MMR system, which can be indicative of certain cancers, such as colorectal cancer, and guide treatment decisions.
Albert Stain Test
The Albert stain test is a microbiological test that uses a special staining technique to identify the bacterium Corynebacterium diphtheriae, also known as Klebs-Loeffler bacillus, which causes diphtheria, a highly contagious infection.
24 Hour Urine Cortisol
The test measures the levels of the hormone cortisol in a 24-hour sample of urine. Cortisol is produced by the adrenal glands and regulated by the pituitary gland. It helps evaluate conditions related to abnormal cortisol production, such as Cushing's syndrome or Addison's disease.
Cystic Fibrosis Mutation Detection - CFTR
Cystic fibrosis (CF), a.k.a mucoviscidosis, is a disorder that affects mainly the lungs but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and intestine.
ALL Molecular Profile
The test offers comprehensive genetic information for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), identifying specific mutations, chromosomal abnormalities, and gene expression patterns.
AML Molecular Profile
The test provides detailed genetic insights into Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), identifying key mutations, chromosomal abnormalities, and gene expression patterns.
IGVH Mutation Detection
The test analyses mutations in the immunoglobulin heavy chain variable (IGHV) genes, which can provide insights into the prognosis of B-cell lymphomas and leukemias.
