Pathology Lab
Pathology Lab
As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.
Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results
At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.
- NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
- Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
- Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
- Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
- Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
- External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
- Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.
Urine Chyle Examination
This test detects the presence of chyle in the urine, which can indicate lymphatic obstruction or leakage.
Fungal Susceptibility
Fungal susceptibility testing determines how well a fungus responds to antifungal drugs. It helps in finding out the most effective treatment for fungal infections and guiding therapeutic decisions.
Huntington Disease Mutation Detection
The test identifies the presence of mutations in the HTT gene associated with Huntington's disease.
Urine Chloride
The test measures the concentration of chloride ions in the urine. It is used to assess electrolyte balance, kidney disorders, and evaluate the body's acid-base status.
Cryptococcus Antigen
The test detects the presence of Cryptococcus, a fungal pathogen, in the body by identifying its antigen in blood or cerebrospinal fluid.
Clinical Exome Sequencing
The test analyses the coding regions of the genome to identify genetic variants associated with various medical conditions.
Fibrinogen Degradation Product [FDP]
The FDP test measures the levels of fibrinogen degradation products (FDPs) in the blood. FDPs are small protein fragments left behind when blood clots dissolve.
HPV DNA by PCR
The test detects the presence of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) DNA in a sample using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).
NUDT15 Genotyping
The test identifies genetic variations in the NUDT15 gene, which can affect a patient's ability to metabolise thiopurine drugs used in treatments like chemotherapy.
