Pathology Lab
Pathology Lab
As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.
Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results
At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.
- NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
- Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
- Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
- Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
- Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
- External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
- Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.
Acetaminophen (Paracetamol)
The test measures the levels of acetaminophen (paracetamol) in the blood to determine whether they are within the therapeutic range or if an overdose has occurred.
Theophylline
The test measures the levels of theophylline in the blood to help establish an appropriate dose and maintain therapeutic levels. Theophylline, a drug chemically related to caffeine, is primarily used to treat respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Cholinesterase
The test measures the levels of acetylcholinesterase and pseudocholinesterase in the blood.
Alcohol (Ethanol)
The test measures the concentration of alcohol (ethanol) in the blood to assess recent alcohol consumption and its effects. It is essential for evaluating alcohol intoxication, monitoring alcohol-related conditions, and guiding treatment decisions.
H1N1 Real Time PCR
This real-time PCR test detects the presence of the H1N1 influenza virus (swine flu). It is done using a throat and nasal swab sample collected from the patient.
ADA (Fluid)
The test measures the levels of the enzyme adenosine deaminase (ADA) in bodily fluids such as pleural, peritoneal, or cerebrospinal fluid.
Drug Allergy Panel
This test measures the body’s immune response to specific medications. It helps identify specific drug or drugs may be causing an allergic reaction. Allergic reactions to drugs can range from mild to severe.
Stool For Hanging Drop Preparation
The test examines a stool sample for the presence of motile parasites. By preparing a hanging drop slide, it allows for the observation of live organisms in their natural state, aiding in the accurate evaluation of parasitic infections.
Epidermal (Pemphigus)
The test identifies antibodies against epidermal cells, aiding in the evaluation of autoimmune blistering diseases like pemphigus. It is essential for confirming the disease, guiding appropriate treatment, and managing disease progression.
