Pathology Lab
Pathology Lab
As Lucknow First Private Laboratory powered by VITROS® Automation Solution. We at SIDC focus our highest attention to the importance of precision, speed, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Lab Automation combined with bi-direction integration, bar-coding & automated analyzers ensures minimal error and accuracy in testing. This shift has brought in process improvement, quality testing and has even provided safety of the technicians. Our team of trained pathologists, with the help of an automated tracer, verify the results of every sample and implement quality checks to ensure the highest precision in testing for our patients.
Industry Leading Quality in Lab Results
At SIDC, we value that every result matters, and hence follow industry leading practices to produce results that you can rely on.
- NABL Accreditation: Our centralized laboratory is NABL Accredited, and follows stringent quality management norms with delta checks, assurances and internal testing.
- Dry Chemistry Based Technologies: Unlike most other leading NABL Accredited Pathology Labs in Lucknow, SIDC uses Dry Chemistry in most of its testing. Dry Chemistry is the most advanced technology from USA on a fully automated biochemistry platform giving quick, reliable, accurate, and consistent patient results. Clinicians rely on it to treat for better patient outcomes. It does not require external interventions like usage of a high amount of water or washing that eliminates these elements as potential sources of error. It uses a single disposable slide for every test with unique multi-layered Dry Slide Technology producing better precision & accuracy. It's main downside is that Dry chemistry has a higher cost and thus is more expensive to run, but at SIDC, we believe in serving the best, providing quality and world-class service at an affordable price ethically.
- Robotic Lab Automation: The implementation of VITROS Automation Solution for achieving Robotic Total Lab Automation for automated sample transfer between equipment, along with an automated decapper and conveyor belt (track automation), significantly mitigates human intervention in the lab further bolstering quality in processes.
- Internal Quality Controls (IQC): SIDC follows daily Internal Quality Control Checks in the laboratory across lab departments and divisions, because every results matters. Daily IQC checks has been the most important pillar for our lab in enabling our growth and cementing our industry leading reputation.
- Automation: At SIDC we focus on centralizing our operations to provide you consistent and dependable results across the laboratory divisions. Please read the instrumentation list below, to understand the reasons why our lab is emerging as the industry leader in the pathology space.
- External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS): To further strengthen our incessant quality efforts, SIDC follows EQAS programs for many tests in the lab to enable a performance comparison with peer labs across the globe.
- Inter-Lab Comparisons (ILC): In our strive to give you quality that you can rely on, we periodically engage in Inter Lab Comparisons with leading labs for many tests to ensure consistency with industry peers.
Gaucher Disease Quantitative Blood
This test measures the levels of specific enzymes in the blood to find out Gaucher disease, a rare genetic disorder that affects lipid metabolism.
Factor IX Functional
The test measures the activity level of Factor IX, a crucial blood-clotting protein. It is essential for evaluating and managing hemophilia B, a genetic disorder that impairs blood clotting.
KCT - Kaolin Clotting Time
The test measures the time it takes for blood to clot in the presence of kaolin, a substance that activates the clotting process. This test is used to assess the integrity of the intrinsic and common pathways of the coagulation cascade, helping find out bleeding disorders and monitor anticoagulant therapy.
Lap Score
The test assesses the level of alkaline phosphatase enzyme in white blood cells. It is used to evaluate bone marrow function and can help evaluate conditions such as leukemia and myeloproliferative disorders
Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCA)
The test measures the levels of tricyclic antidepressants (TCA) in the blood to ensure therapeutic effectiveness. It helps monitor medication adherence, adjust dosages, and manage potential side effects.
Allergen f93 Cacao
This blood test measures IgE antibodies against cacao, helping to identify allergic reactions to cacao and cacao-containing products
Urine- PCP (Phencylidine)
The test detects the presence of PCP, a hallucinogenic drug, in the urine. It helps identify recent use or abuse of PCP, which can affect perception and behaviour.
U1RNP Antibodies
The test detects antibodies against U1 ribonucleoprotein, which are associated with autoimmune conditions such as mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD).
24 Hour Urine Catecholamine
